    Outdoor tanning products containing SPF’s

Beware of that most misleading term: full spectrum protection. It means nothing. Imagine you wanted to buy your own parachute to go sky-diving and you saw one advertised as “Full width parachute of the strongest material”. You might be tempted to buy that. But you might be very disappointed half way down to Earth when you looked up and saw that it was indeed ‘full width’ but only a narrow strip of fabric and not a complete chute! Full width does not mean full parachute, just as full spectrum does not mean full protection.

The new regulation limiting the output of all new sunbeds from 23rd July to 0.3W/m2 has deeply affected the plans of lamps manufacturers who have been forced to make major concessions because of it. Previously, lamp technology was driven purely by market forces, ie. for stronger and stronger lamps without limit.
