Lotions market tracks customer demand

Each year TAN*BIZ magazine undertakes a random survey of 100 tanning operators. The aim is to find out more about the market: what the public is buying and what trends in overall customer (and salon) behaviour can be seen. Sunbed safety report

The final report of the Scientific Committee on Consumer Products (SCCP) investigating the UV radiation safety of sunbeds was finally published on 7th July after a wait of almost 2 years by the European tanning industry community. The Industry had hoped to be vindicated in its assertions that UV radiation is safe for the public to use in the manner prescribed by sunbed manufacturers. What resulted is something rather less helpful.

Developments in VTU's

VTU’s – going from strength to strength or lying flat? Is vertical tanning still growing? That’s one question that could not have been asked at any time over the past 10 years in the UK. Of course it was growing! But is it still growing now? That is not as easy to answer.
